Day 14: This Too Shall Pass

Today it is exactly 2 weeks since AJ had the first shivers and fever. Since yesterday he has not taken any fever medicines, which is a great sign. The infectious disease specialist, said we could take a walk outside this weekend, something I cannot wait to do. He is slowly getting his strength back by doing some indoor simple workouts and drinking the home made broth, which I made at long last!

For all my readers, Thank you for coming on this journey with us. We have had some lows and some highs but through these 2 weeks, the high has been the love and concern from all our friends and family. We are so grateful to each and everyone of you. Thank you to the friends and family who went out of their way to deliver food to us.

Next week, we will get out into the city, but unfortunately the City we love is not the same. Knowing that this “This too shall Pass” is an important mantra for me and that there is light at the end of the tunnel.

We all as a community, city, country and world, have to do what is right in order to beat this virus. We can and will beat this virus. Staying at home currently is the only way to stop it from spreading.

I will still blog my usual food and wellness, but over the next few weeks, I would love to add a point of view from another writer. I have friends and family, across different fields and if anyone would be willing to share their perspective on this platform I know it would be very meaningful to everyone! during times like these I realize all we have is one another and coming together to support one another through shared experiences, both good and bad, is a positive way forward. whether that be things health, wellness, food or lifestyle related, or just funny stories!  My email is jafferh@outlook.com

Too read this blog, you do not need to be on Facebook, you can subscribe to this blog by adding your email at the end.  Every time I post, you will get an email.

I end with love and prayers for the entire world.

I love my beautiful city of NYC img_1205-1
